I started reading planet debian a few years ago when it became obvious for me that it was an important communication channel for the Debian community, but never managed to start my own blog. I think it is time to do it. After reading Ganneff's experiences with Movable Type, I finally installed it on my webserver.
Now, let's see how often I'll update it.

Hehe, you know, now with MT, you should have sent a Trackback to the post you linked to :)
(The entries do have a "TrackBack URL for this entry:" at the bottom per default, if one turns on trackback).
You should just make sure you have the various anti-spam plugins turned on, as they will nicely sort out all the spam trackback you **will** see.
Oh, one thing I forgot: You want to follow
http://www.yinfor.com/blog/archives/2008/03/add_recaptcha_in_movabletype_4.html
and enable a better captcha system. Then the captcha actually does something useful, besides keeping spammers out. :)
Thanks Joerg, I just installed the recaptcha plug-in and added the trackback URL to your entry as you suggested.
Hi,
You may not remember me but i wanted to say that i had started blogging when you had provided your server as part of the nipl community in 2005 (back then, i used the nick "svaksha", still do :))... and welcome to the world of blogging :)
cheers,
Vid
I hope you'll enjoy blogging a lot ;).
While you're at it, you can consider providing a separated category in Italian to aggregate at the Debian Italian Planet
